CONNECTING OUR COMMUNITY

Welcome to the exciting launch of 1-2-1 Voices, a voluntary community led project dedicated to capturing and preserving unique life experiences, wisdom and local history of our senior generation. We believe that your stories deserve to be heard and shared.

We invite you to sit down for a relaxed informal 1-2-1 conversation – like a chat over a cup of tea in your own surroundings. No recording will take place on the first visit and we are more than happy for you to have a family member, friend or member of staff present on our visit. The subject could be anything from youth, family, local history, an object you own that has a story or you may have a special celebration coming up.

Your memories are a vital piece of our community’s history. We would love to hear your story and share it with others. You can contribute in any way you feel comfortable through video, audio, photos or a written account. You are welcome to share your story completely anonymously or have your name included and as a thank you we will create a ‘My story keep sake’ for you to treasure.
